Just a note to brides, I used Photography by Desiree for my wedding, and although her photos on her web site are beautiful, which is what prompted me to use her, they are all from San Diego. Not that this was the concern, but I had been told by other people w/ whom I was working on my wedding not to use Desiree, that she wasn't familiar w/ the Fort Collins area and needs of Brides, and I realize now, I really shouldn't have used her. She doesn't handle the stress of the wedding day very well, which made it uncomfortable for myslef and the bridal party as she really seemed to become very annoyed and then rather rude. I don't want to deter anyone, however I'm just sending out a caution that working w/ Desiree on the actual wedding day, is much different than when you are working with her on your wedding day. This is a day of happiness and joy, and the person capturing that day forever, should be someone who has a positive personality regardless of how that person is feeling on that day. The photos are very nice, it is the feeling I was left w/ all evening that we were more of a nuisance for her having to be there, so that was in the back of my mind, my now Husbands mind, the Bridal Party, etc. We also heard she spoke poorly about the other staff at the venue, which my Parents and I agreed was very unprofessional. So, on an evening when we should have been enjoying the most important day of our lives, we really weren't because we felt the main person, and the most important person at our wedding was projecting such negativity it affected all of us, and even guests commented on it. I have emailed Desiree w/ my concerns about that day and evening, and I haven't heard back. I don't normally post things, however I thought Brides should at least be aware, so if they do choose to use her, they can at least discuss concerns about what they've read above w/ Desiree in the hopes Brides will still use her and she will be a more positive point on a Brides wedding day.
